Overview of role

 

Our parts departments and teams are one of the most important areas in our business, which is why we are looking for a Parts Supervisor to join and assist in leading our exceptional people and help to oversee the department. You'll have previous experience in a similar role and come with a great track record of success in delivering results. As you'll be working alongside our wider Aftersales team, you'll also possess great communication and teamwork skills.

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

 

Duties & Responsibilities;

  • Assist the Parts/Aftersales Manager in the organisation, direction and leadership of the parts team.
  • To ensure there is sufficient stock to satisfy the daily customer demands, considering all financial implications and to assist in the development of the departmental plans and budgets to achieve sales and financial targets. 
  • To assist in developing annual sales, operating plans and budgets, covering long, medium and short term objectives, to achieve agreed financial, market, productivity and resource control targets
  • To assist in developing new market opportunities to achieve profit improvement
  • To ensure payments are received for cash sale transactions and to become involved in the control of debtors where necessary
  • To monitor the movement of stock and highlight to the manager potential obsolete stock
  • To assist in organising and participate in stock taking procedures as required
  • To deputise for the manager in his absence and carry out any duties and responsibilities as required

 

Skills & Experience Required:

 

  • Previous experience within a Parts department is essential
  • Have good mechanical awareness or understanding of cars and parts
  • Be highly organised to ensure that all Company and manufacturer’s disciplines, procedures and reporting analysis are strictly adhered to
  • Have excellent communication, organisational and inter-personal skills
